MR. LYNN FRANKLIN GIDDENS, age 77, of Eastman, GA, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025, at his residence.

 Funeral services will be held at Southerland Funeral Chapel at 3:00PM, Sunday, October 19, 2025, with Rev. Tony Brooks, Rev. Todd Crosby, and Chaplain Doug Stevens officiating with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.

 Lynn was born on August 17, 1948, in Eastman, GA, was a lifelong resident of Dodge County and a member of Eastman First Baptist Church. He was a 1966 graduate of Dodge County High School and a 1970 graduate of South Georgia Technical and Vocational College in Americus where he earned a degree in Electronic Technology. During his school years, he worked as a TV repairman for Sears in Americus. He worked for over 30 years in Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base in Electronics, Air Conditioning, and as a Vehicle Control Officer until his retirement in 2007. He was a dedicated husband and a loving father and grandfather who was affectionately known as ‘Pop Pop’. Mr. Giddens enjoyed fishing, gardening, bee keeping, and woodworking. Lynn was the son of the late Hortense Faircloth Giddens and Ernest F. Giddens and was preceded in death by his Brother, Donald Woodrow Giddens and Sister-In-Law, Mary Ruth Jackson Giddens.

 He is survived by his Wife of 47 years – Diane Findley Giddens of Eastman; Daughters – Sheryl G. Nelken (Eric) of Winder and Amy G. Grenade (Cody) of Eastman; Son – Chris Giddens (Jennifer) of Eastman; Grandchildren - Anna Nelken, Laura Nelken, Emily Nelken, Micah Grenade, Luke Grenade, Isaiah Grenade, Georgia Grace Giddens, and Tucker Giddens; Brother – Rex Giddens (Faye) of Eastman; Nephew and Niece – Brock Giddens (Heather) of Eastman, and June Duffy (John) of Dacula, GA; Sister-in-law – Linda Taylor (Danny) of Dacula, GA; Numerous cousins and friends.

 The family will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 2:00PM-3:00PM on Sunday, October 19, 2025, before the service and may be contacted at the Giddens residence, 322 Ridley Rd., Eastman, GA 31023. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Cornerstone Christian Academy Building Fund, 5107 Oak Street, Eastman, GA, 31023.
