MRS. LISA MICHELLE JONES SMITH, age 57, of Eastman, GA, died Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at her residence.
 Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Sunday, October 20, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Todd Crosby and Rev. Jack Lee officiating, with interment in Orphans Cemetery.
 Lisa was born in McRae, GA on July 1, 1967. She was a lifelong resident of Dodge County, a member of Antioch #2 Baptist Church, and a Class of 1985 graduate at Dodge County High School. She furthered her education at Middle Georgia College and Mercer University. She was a private childcare provider in her home for 17 years and later had a successful career in banking as a Customer Service Representative for Colony Bank for over 10 years and most recently as a Banking Officer at Great Oaks Bank. She was an important member of her banking team and will be greatly missed by her clients and co-workers. During her time in banking, she helped many with her excellent communication skills and work ethic through the years. Lisa was a dedicated wife and a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She enjoyed photography, crafts, Georgia Bulldogs football, hunting arrowheads, fishing, and gardening. She was affectionately known as “Grandma” to her grandchildren, and they were most important to her happiness. Lisa was loved by everyone and was a bright light to her community of family and numerous friends.
 She is survived by her Husband – Ray E. Smith of Eastman, GA; Daughter – Abbie Perdue (Jonathan) of Cochran, GA; Son – Caleb Yawn (Mallory) of Macon, GA; Grandchildren – Hudson Yawn, Scotlin Yawn, Callan Perdue, Adleigh Collins, and Chandler Collins; Parents – Jimmy H. Jones and Elese Dowdy Jones of Milan, GA; Sister – Pam Jones Groves (Josh) of Macon, GA; Step-Daughters – Emily Rae Smith and Delia Collins, both of Savannah, GA; Brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law – Greg Smith (Jan), Linda Smith, both of Eastman, GA, and Karen Smith Reich (John) of Columbia, SC; Aunts and Uncles – Rob Jones (Nancy) of Milan, GA and Toby “Buddy” Dowdy of Eastman, GA; Nieces and Nephews – Molly Groves, Mary Kate Groves, and James Groves all of Macon, GA; Canine Companions – Leon, Beau, and Annabelle; and numerous extended cousins.
 The family may be contacted at the Smith residence, 1226 Evergreen Circle, Eastman, GA, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 1:00PM-3:00PM Sunday, October 20. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Leave it Better, P.O. Box 819, Eastman, GA 31023.
