MR. LINDER JOINER, age 81, of Eastman, GA, died Thursday, May 2, 2024, in Eastman, GA.

 Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, May 5, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Arnold Rye and Pastor Tyler Kirkley officiating, with interment in Parkerson Church Cemetery.

 Linder was a lifelong resident of Dodge County and of the Baptist Faith. He lived in the Godwinsville Community of Dodge County, where he attended Chauncey Elementary School. He was later drafted into the U.S. Army, where he faithfully served his country for two years during the Vietnam War. He returned home and worked as a carpenter for over forty years for Billy Shepherd Construction and Cotton Shepherd Construction. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, who enjoyed fishing, watching old westerns, and was affectionately known as “Papa” to his grandchildren. Linder was the son of the late Vida Pearl Wright Joiner and Mose Joiner and was preceded in death by a Son, Dale Joiner, Sister, Margie Joiner Avila and a grandson, Morgan Cole Sheffield.

 He is survived by his Daughters – Tammy Pirkle (Bob), Lynn Diaz (Pablo), and Denise Sheffield (Danny), all of Eastman, GA; Son – Timmy Joiner of Eastman, GA; Grandchildren – Josh Westbrook, Halei White (Scotty), Kayden Pirkle, Stephen Filichia, Cody Westbrook, Jacob Wilkerson (Alyssa), Jill Filichia (Wil), Javon Joiner (Brianna), Jesse Cruz, Whitney Graves (Jordan), Ryder Dale Joiner, Barbie Piper, Jim “Buddy” Piper (Devon), Brooke Thomas (Dustin), and Danielle Elliott (Dustin); Numerous Great-Grandchildren; Sister – Shirley Cannon (Chester) of Milan, GA; Brothers – Ray Joiner (Evelyn) and John Levy “Polly” Joiner, both of Eastman, GA; Numerous Nieces and Nephews; Longtime Best Friend – Cotton Shepherd of Abbeville, GA; Extended Family Friends – April and Kelly Moore.

 The family may be contacted at the residence of Denise and Danny Sheffield, 227 Jim Harp Rd., Eastman, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 6:00PM-8:00PM Saturday, May 4.
