MRS. LINDA DIX FOURNIER, age 71, of Rhine, GA, died Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at her residence.

 Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Monday, July 19, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Mr. Bobby Joe Ryals officiating, with interment in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.

 Mrs. Fournier was born and raised in Dodge County, a member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Rhine, a 1968 graduate of Dodge County High School, and a graduate of Georgia Baptist College of Nursing with her BSN-RN. After graduating from nursing school, she worked for a couple of years as a nurse before entering the U.S. Air Force, where she obtained the rank of Captain. She was the head operating room nurse at Wilford Hall at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX where she met her future husband. They later were transferred to Scott AFB in Belville, IL, where they added to their family with the birth of their two daughters. Upon finishing her obligation to the U.S. Air Force, she and her family moved to Hooks, TX where she and her husband owned and operated Ark La Tex Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology Medical Practice in Texarkana TX, which they operated together until her husband’s passing in 2008. She remained in Texas until 2014 when she moved to Rhine to be closer to her family. She enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking, trips to the beach, and she loved her family, especially doting on her grandson. She was the daughter of the late Georgia Mae Williamson Dix Law and Julian “Doo” Dix and was preceded in death by her Husband, Dr. Don Fournier, and Step-Father, John Daniel Law.

 She is survived by her 2 Daughters – Alyson Fournier of Hooks, TX and Dr. Ashley Fournier Goodnight (Richard) of Atlanta; Grandson – Greyson Charles Fournier of Hooks, TX; 2 Brothers – Tommy Dix (Kristi) of Rhine and Wayne Dix (Kitty) of Hawkinsville; Double First Cousin – Donna Walker of Rhine; Companion – Danny Yancey of Rhine; Step-Daughter – Dana Wright (Jason) of San Antonio; 2 Step-Granddaughters – Paige Wright and Preslea Wright, both of San Antonio; Sisters-in-law and Brother-in-law – Susan Blake, Judy Fournier, both of Helotes, TX, and Ray Fournier (Jill) of Belton, TX; Aunt – Kay Lowery (Gary) of Eastman; Numerous Cousins and Friends.

 The family may be contacted at the Fournier residence, 1320 Oak Grove Church Rd., Rhine, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 10:00AM-11:00AM Monday, July 19.
