Obituary for Lillian Fowler Bracewell

MRS. LILLIAN FOWLER BRACEWELL, age 96, of Helena, GA, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Lumber City Nursing Home in Lumber City, GA.

 Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Zion Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Tim Brown and Chaplain Doug Stevens officiating.

 Mrs. Bracewell was born in Dodge County, Georgia, on October 23, 1928. She was a lifelong resident of the area and a dedicated member of Zion Hope Baptist Church, and a 1946 graduate of Chauncey High School. She was married to Fred R. Bracewell for 72 years, and together they shared a life filled with love and devotion. A homemaker, Mrs. Bracewell’s greatest joy, was spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters and great-granddaughters, who brought her immense pride and happiness. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. She was the daughter of the late Irene Durden Fowler and Charles H. Fowler and was preceded in death by her Husband, Fred R. Bracewell, Son, Jimmie Fred Bracewell, Granddaughter, Julie Weeks Miles, and Brothers, John L. Fowler, Chester Fowler, Russell Fowler, and Toby Fowler.

 She is survived by her Daughter – Ginger Weeks (Dennis); Granddaughter – Lisa Weeks LeMoine (Peter); Grandson-in-law – David Miles; 3 Great-Grandchildren – Madeline LeMoine, Sydney LeMoine, and Stella Miles; Sister-in-law – Eloise Fowler; Several nieces and nephews.

 The family will receive friends Graveside from 1:30PM-2:00PM, Saturday March 1, 2025, before services. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the Zion Hope Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 25, Chauncey, GA 31011.
