MR. LESLIE FRANK ELL, age 96, of Eastman, GA, formerly of Warner Robins died Friday, February 12, 2021.

 Memorial services will be held at 2:00PM Friday, February 19, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Fred Parker and Rev. Dennis Clark officiating.

 Mr. Ell was born in Mason City, IA and joined the United States Coast Guard after high school, where he served honorably for 3 years during WWII. He worked as a cook in New York state for a couple of years before moving to Florida where he worked in a drug store. Later he was employed as a maintenance technician at a college in Bradenton, FL. After leaving Florida he lived in several states before moving to Thomaston, GA to become owner and operator of a local restaurant and bar. While in Thomaston he went to work as a warehouse employee at Robins Air Force Base and later moved to Warner Robins in 1971 and made it his home for the next 49 years. He retired from Robins Air Force Base after 30 years and was a member of Southside Baptist Church for over 30 years. Mr. Ell enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. He was a dedicated family man. He was the son of the late Jessie Pearl Herman Ell and Herman Ell and was preceded in death by his Wife of 60 years, Minnie Mae Cooper Ell, 2 Daughters, Connie Loftin and Linn Bell, Great-Grandson, Aidan Lee Howard, a Brother, Gary Ell, and 2 Sisters, Ina Rose and Evelyn Mickl.

 He is survived by 2 Daughters – Vicky L. Crawford of Kingswood, TX and Katherine White (Gordon) of Buena Vista, AZ; Son – Roy Welch of Thomaston, GA; 7 Grandchildren – Stacey Crawford (Tina), Amanda Currier, Jennifer Rowland (Jason), David White (Robin), Linnell Elliott, Tara Cobb, and Holly Welch; 14 Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.
