MRS. LEE ANN PURVIS MURPHY, age 51, of Mitchell, GA, formerly of Eastman, GA, died Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at her residence.

A celebration of life service will be held 3:00PM Sunday, March 17, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Arnold Rye officiating.

 Lee Ann was born in Macon, GA and was a 1990 graduate of Dodge County High School. She was of the Christian Faith and lived and worked in Eastman and worked various jobs through the years before moving to Sparta, GA in 1998. She married in 2002 and was a dedicated wife of over 21 years. They owned and operated Murphy’s Body Shop for many years. Lee Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, who enjoyed trips to the beach, tending her flowers, spending time with her family, and working at their body shop. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Joyce Dunn Paul, Brother-in-law, Harry Murphy, and Sister-in-law, Lisa Ussery.

 She is survived by her Husband of 21 years – Roy Murphy of Mitchell, GA; 2 Sons – Cody Purvis of Orland, FL and Casey Purvis of Gibson, GA; 2 Step Children – Donald Roy Murphy (Tonya) of Canton, GA and Tonya Murphy of Bremerton, WA; Several Grandchildren; Father – J.W. Purvis (Cheryl) of Roddy, GA; Brothers and Sisters – Jeff Purvis (Kathy), Greg Purvis, both of Eastman, GA, Rhonda Sinyard (Tim) of Hawkinsville, GA, Billy Smith (Beth) of Milan, GA, Randy Smith (Jeanette) of Somerville, SC, and Lisa Kay Tyus of Danville, KY; Several Nieces and Nephews; Sisters-in-law and Brothers-in-law – Leon Murphy, Julia Ann Hadden both of Sparta, GA, Jane Frazier (Al) of Eatonton, GA, and Margaret Hadden of Mitchell, GA; Numerous Cousins and Friends.
