MR. LARRY JAMES YAWN, age 78, of Eastman, GA, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026, at his residence.

 Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, February 4, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Myron Parkerson officiating, with interment in Robbins Cemetery in the Gresston Community of Dodge County.

 Larry was born in Eastman, GA on September 12, 1947, to the late Evie Ellen Sheffield Yawn and James Yawn. He was a graduate of Dodge County High School, and moved to South Carolina for several years, where he lived with his Aunt Louise and worked as a textile employee at the cotton mills in Liberty, SC. He returned home to Eastman, where he lived the remainder of his life and was a member of Eastman First Christian Church. He was a loving brother, uncle, and cousin, who enjoyed watching westerns on TV, loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, growing his garden every year, reading sports magazines, and especially loved the Atlanta Braves. He was affectionately known to “Luddy” to his family, a nickname given to him by nephew, Lance, when he was unable to say Larry as a child. Larry will be forever missed by his family and friends. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his Brother, Lyman Yawn, and Brother-in-law, Mike Albritton.

 He is survived by his Sister – Tina Yawn Albritton of Eastman; Brother – Danny Yawn of Hawkinsville; Nieces and Nephews – Jennifer Yawn of Greenwood, SC, Stephanie Ramirez of Macon, Lance Yawn of Sandersville, and Jason Yawn of Eastman; Great-Nieces and Nephews – Kailey, Timothy, Jewels, Gabriel, Starla, and Stormy; Uncle – Samuel Sheffield (Gloria) of Eastman; Numerous cousins and extended family members.

 The family may be contacted at the residence of Tina Albritton, 400 Charlie Mullis Rd., Eastman, GA, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 1:00PM-2:00PM Wednesday, February 4.
