Obituary for Keith Atkinson

MR. KEITH MICHAEL ATKINSON, age 63, of Eastman, GA, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, GA.

 A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00PM Wednesday, September 23, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Mr. Victor Villegas officiating.

 Keith was born in Fernandina, FL on August 26, 1963, to the late Alice Faye Bland Atkinson and W.F. “Cricket” Atkinson. He and his family, shortly after, moved to Eastman, GA, where he graduated from Dodge County High School in 1981. After high school, he found employment at Robins AFB. While working at Robins AFB, he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Mercer University in 1993 and later earned his Master of Business Administration. He retired from Robins AFB after 42 years of dedicated service in December of 2025. Keith was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed piddling around his home, hunting, going to the beach, and being outdoors. He was a man who loved his family and will be missed by all who knew him.

 He is survived by his Loving and Faithful Wife – Denise Graham Atkinson of Eastman; Son – Noah Atkinson (Hannah) of Eastman; Granddaughter – Charlotte Atkinson; Mother-in-law – Margaret Burnam of Eastman; Father-in-law – Don Burnam, Sr. (Gail) of Eastman; Sisters-in-law and Brothers-in-law – Brooke B. Villegas (Victor), Brad Burnam, Don Burnam, Jr., all of Eastman, and Sonya B. Peacock of Richmond Hill; Several nieces, nephews including a special nephew, Harper Villegas, and numerous cousins, and friends.

 The family may be contacted at the Atkinson residence, 1293 Dublin Hwy., Eastman, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 2:30PM-3:00PM Wednesday, September 23.
