MRS. JULIE ANN ARNESEN BAILEY, age 73, of Eastman, GA, died Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Serenity Place in Dublin, GA.

 A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00PM on Tuesday, April 12, at Southerland Funeral Chapel in Eastman.

 Mrs. Bailey was born in Clearwater, FL, and was raised in Dublin, GA, on the family farm. She was a graduate of East Laurens High School. She moved to Oldsmar, FL, in 1976 and worked as a scientific assembler for Sperry UNIVAC and later Unisys Corp., working over 18 years. In the mid-1990s she went to nursing school in Chiefland, FL, and became a CNA. Julie worked several jobs as a CNA before transitioning in the early 2000s, when she became a teacher for Adults with Developmental Disabilities at UPARC of Pinellas County, FL, where she worked for many years before retiring in 2007. She was a longtime cancer survivor since she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2004. She relocated to Georgia in 2007 to be near her family and settled in Eastman in 2016. Julie was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister who enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed drawing, bird watching, trips to the beach, and most importantly spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jens Elmer Arnesen and Allene Pope Arnesen, and her best friend, Nobie Jones.

 She is survived by her 2 Daughters - Deanna Bailey Jones (Matthew) of Eastman, and Jamie Bailey Sampson (Michael) of Chester; 4 Sisters - Jan West (David) of Port Richey, FL, Jean Hudson of New Port Richey, FL, Cathy O’Quinn of Hudson, FL and Debra Hughes (Jim) of Tennessee; 2 Brothers - Steve Arnesen of New Port Richey, FL and David Arnesen (Kindra) of Baton Rouge, LA; 7 Grandchildren - James Opanica (Victoria) of Atlanta, Marshal Lee Sampson and Hunter Sampson of Chester, Jordan Barker of Statesboro, Ryan Barker of Eastman, Shannon Barker of Eastman, and Kaylee Jones of Eastman; numerous Nieces and Nephews; former Husband – Kenneth D. Bailey of Sparta, TN; numerous cousins including Marilyn Warnock Rogers of Chester and many lifelong friends.
