MR. JOHN LENARD “JOHNNY” BURCH, age 78, of Helena, GA, died Friday, February 12, 2021 at Community Hospice in Vidalia.

 Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM Tuesday, February 16, at New Bethel Cemetery, in Helena, with Rev. Billy Baker officiating.

 Mr. Burch was a lifelong resident of Dodge County and a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Helena. After high school he joined the United States Army and served his country proudly for 4 years and spent the next several years in the Army Reserves. Mr. Burch was a retired lineman for Ocmulgee EMC working for over 30 years. He enjoyed riding horses, fishing, tending to his chickens, and being outdoors. Johnny was the son of the late Ina Mae Smith Burch and Jack Burch, and was preceded in death by his Wife, Willie Mae Harrelson Burch, and 3 Siblings, Clark Burch, Peggy Collins, and Linda Sumner.

 He is survived by his Daughter – Susan Henry (Byrd) of Hawkinsville; Son – Chris Burch (Donna) of Eastman; Step-Daughter – Tracy Cason (Roy) of Helena; 2 Step-Sons – Rex Williams of Helena and Ricky Williams (Sharon) of Dublin; Grandchildren – Amber Hinson, Coty Barnett (Kayla), Jimmy Barnett, Rex Starley (Lisa), Allen Starley, Kayla Starley Peacock (Cole), Roy Cason, III, Michael Williams (Ashley), and Ricky Williams, Jr.; Several Great-Grandchildren; Sister – Nancy Brown of Helena; Brother – Wayne Young (Brenda) of Alamo; Brother-in-law – Mickey Sumner of Waycross; Several Nieces and Nephews.

 Mr. Burch will lie-in-state from 11:00AM-3:00PM Monday, February 15, at Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home.
