MR. JOHN HARVEY VICKERY, age 74, of Rhine, GA, died Sunday, February 6, 2022, in Monroe, GA.

 Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Thursday, February 10, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Jesse Bowen and Rev. Ricky Gilmore officiating, with interment in Sweet Home Baptist Church Cemetery in Milan.

 John was a lifelong resident of Dodge County, a member and worshiper at Freedom Baptist Church in Milan, GA and attended Emanuel Bible College. He served his country during the Vietnam War as a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked for many years as a U.S. Mail contract driver for the Jerome Walker Mail Contractor Agency. He enjoyed spending time with his family and enjoyed participating in numerous church activities. John was the son of the late Leila Mae Vickery and Forest Gordon Vickery and was preceded in death by his Son, John Wesley Vickery and Brother, James Gordon Vickery.

 He is survived by his Step-Daughter – Renee Mitchell (Jeff) of Duluth; 2 Step-Sons – Keith Vickery of Conyers and Darien Vickery of Tampa, FL; Granddaughter – Megan Grace Vickery of Monroe; 7 Sisters – Effie Jones of Tampa, FL, Lee Reese of Marietta, Mennie Wright of Milan, Ruby Bowen of Swainsboro, Audrey Wright of Eastman, Elizabeth Hendrix (Clifford) of Jeffersonville, and Mae Mosley (Danny) of Loganville; 2 Brothers – Willis Vickery (Glenda) of Macon and Cleve Vickery (Willie Mae) of Monroe; Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

 The family will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 12:30PM-2:00PM Thursday, February 10.
