MR. JOHN LOUIS HARRELL, age 73, of Southwest Ranches, FL, died Sunday, February 16, 2020, at Cleveland Clinic Medical Center in Weston, FL.

 Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM Friday, February 21, at Woodlawn Cemetery, with Rev. Mike Grenade officiating.

 John was a native of Eastman, attended Dodge County High School, graduated high school from Gordon Military College in 1964, attended Gordon Military College for his freshman and sophomore years and graduated from the University of Georgia in 1969 with a B.S. Degree in Geology. He worked as a realtor for New Castle Realty in Cooper City, FL, and had over 30 years experience. John was of the Pentecostal faith and was active in numerous church activities. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army from 1969 thru 1972 where he served in Germany and later retired from the U.S. Army Reserves with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. John was a dedicated husband, a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who enjoyed his work in real estate, traveling, including several trips to the Holy Land and researching genealogy and the ancestry of the Harrell and Smith families as well as the history of Dodge County. He was son of the late Zelda Smith Harrell and Russell Harrell and was preceded in death by a Sister, Celia Ann Harrell Schaefer.

 Survivors: Wife of 38 years – Paula Crawford Harrell of Southwest Ranches, FL; Daughter – Christina “Christi” Harrell of Jackson, MS; Son – John Bennett “Benny” Harrell (Darlene) of Petal, MS; 7 Grandchildren – Ashley Schoep, Paul Schoep, Alexander Schoep, Christopher “Chris” Dickinson, Summer Harrell, John Russell Wesley Harrell, and Elizabeth June Blaylock; 2 Great-Grandchildren – Brice Blaylock and John Carter Kash Blaylock; Sister – LaVerne H. Graham (Felton) of Eastman; Mother-in-law – Martha “Marty” Crawford of Prescott, AZ; Sister-in-law – Peggy Leonard (Matt) of Sedona, AZ; Niece and Nephew – Annalisa Parnell (Kevin) of Bothell, WA and Craig Graham (Maureen) of Eastman; 2 Great-Nephews – Jakob Graham and Elijah Graham, both of Eastman; Numerous Cousins and Friends.

 The family may be contacted at the residence of Felton and LaVerne Graham, 1310 Airport Road, Eastman and will receive friends in Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home from 12:30PM-1:30PM, Friday, February 21.
