JOSEPH CHARLES “JOE” KINCHEN, age 74, of Milan, GA, left us too soon to meet his Lord on Saturday, November 23rd, 2019 at Dr. G.S. Walker Center for Palliative Care in Eastman.

 Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Sunday, November 24th, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Dr. Kim Conley officiating, with interment in Antioch #2 Baptist Church Cemetery.

 Mr. Kinchen was a lifelong resident of Dodge County, a member of Antioch #2 Baptist Church, a Master Barber graduate of Dudley Hughes Barber School in Macon, a member of the Milan Masonic Lodge, and owner and operator of Joe’s Barber and Style Shop for over 56 years. He enjoyed playing checkers, trips with his wife to Pigeon Forge and Knoxville and enjoyed attending Carroll and Donna Roberson Ministries services. He enjoyed his time visiting his with customers, telling stories, and working as a barber. He was the son of the late Larry Kinchen and Beulah Jones Kinchen and was preceded in death by a Son-in-Law, Rick Dailey and a Brother and Sister-In-Law, Kenneth and Carolyn Kinchen.

 Survivors: Wife of 53 years – Glenda Ward Kinchen of Milan; 2 Daughters – Julie Kinchen Scarborough (Dean) and Sharon Kinchen Dailey both of Milan; 6 Grandchildren – Alyssa Jones (Rusty) of Eastman, Tiffani Passmore (D.J.) of Milan, David J. “D.J.” Dailey of Chauncey, Scott Scarborough (Tina) of Milan, Lynn Scarborough of McRae, and Clay Scarborough (Joy) of Milan; 3 Great-Grandchildren – Raegan Jones, Kennady Haven Jones, and Eli Passmore; Sister – Mary Ann Cobb (Wayne) of Milan; Sisters-in-Law and Brothers-in-Law – Euralee Browning, Rosetta Ussery, Evelene Warren, Nelda Graham (Bobby), Marsha Graham (Dean), Eugene Ward, and Randall Ward (Frances); Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

 The family may be contacted at the Kinchen residence, 536 Antioch South Rd., Milan, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 2:00PM-3:00PM Sunday, November 24th. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to the Dr. G.S. Walker Center for Palliative Care, 818 Professional Center Drive, Eastman, GA 31023, Alzheimer’s Association, act.alz.org, or the Atlanta Blood Services, 5670 Peachtree Dunwoody Rd., Atlanta, GA 30342.
