MRS. JOANN MASSINGILL DENNIS, age 81, of Chauncey, GA, died Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Crossview Nursing Home in Pineview, GA.

 Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, September 30, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Mike Grenade officiating, with interment in Ryals Cemetery.

 Mrs. Dennis was born in Eastman and was of the Baptist Faith. She was a 1961 graduate of Dodge County High School. JoAnn was a homemaker for many years. She worked at TG&Y for many years in the 1970s and 1980s and later went to work at Wal-Mart when it first came to Eastman, where she was a loyal employee for over twenty years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved doing crafts, bowling, and going on trips with her family. She was the daughter of the late Lucille Peacock Massingill and Oscar D. Massingill and was preceded in death by her Husband of 54 years, James L. “Pete” Dennis, and Brother, Randall Massingill, and Great-Nephew, Nick Massingill.

 She is survived by her Daughters – Terry Lynn Clark (Mike) and Tina Nobles (Mike) both of Chauncey, GA; Son – Randy Dennis (Tara) of Chauncey, GA; Grandchildren – April Smith (Blake) of Bonaire, GA, Jessica Nobles, Kristen Nobles (Ryan Salyer), both of Eastman, GA, Nathan Dennis, and Brooke Dennis, both of Chauncey, GA; Great-Grandchildren – Daylen Nobles and Clark Smith; Sisters-in-law and Brother-in-law – Mary Jo Phillips of Chauncey, GA, Barbara Massingill of Eastman, GA, and Don Dennis (Kay) of Dublin, GA; Several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

 The family may be contacted at the residence of Lynn and Mike Clark, 3819 Wiliam Dennis Rd., Chauncey, GA, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 10:00AM-11:00AM Saturday, September 30. In lieu of flowers, request contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
