MRS. JOAN MARIE FENNELL ETHRIDGE, age 75, of Eastman, GA, died Friday, August 7, 2020 at Bryant Nursing Home in Cochran.

 Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM Monday, August 10, at Orphans Cemetery, with Rev. Daniel Cook officiating.

 Joan was a lifelong resident of Eastman and a member of Cottondale Baptist Church. She married in 1962 and began her family in Dodge County. She worked for several years in medical records at the Dodge County Hospital before beginning an over 30 year career with G.S. Walker, III, M.D. as his office manager and bookkeeper. Joan was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed traveling, especially trips to the mountains and the beach. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her friends, traveling with her friends, and she enjoyed watching tennis and golf on TV. Joan was the daughter of the late Leila Jane Melvin Fennell and William Lewis Fennell, widow of Don Ethridge, and was preceded in death by a Sister, Louise Fennell Taylor, Nephew, Derek Taylor, and Great-Nephew, Dee Taylor.

 She is survived by her 2 Sons – Mark Ethridge (Brenda) of Cochran and Mike Ethridge of Eastman; 3 Grandchildren – Kayla Ethridge Herring (Matt), Brennan Ethridge, and Bailey Marie Ethridge; 2 Great-Grandchildren – Sami Herring and Charli Kate Herring; Sister-in-law – Margaret Fordham of Macon; Several Nieces and Nephews including – Lisa Couillard (Mike) of Warner Robins.

 In addition to flowers, the family request contributions to the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta or St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
