MRS. FANNIE JO HOWELL DUNN, age 60, of Eastman, GA, died Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at her residence.

 Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Sunday, April 21, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Myron Parkerson officiating, with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.

 Jo was born in Savannah, GA, a lifelong resident of Eastman, GA, and a 1982 graduate of Dodge County High School. She was a member of Cottondale Baptist Church and formerly attended New Hope Freewill Baptist Church, where she taught preschool Sunday School. Jo worked several jobs over the years, but of all the jobs she had, her favorite was being a beautician. She worked for several years at New Image Beauty Salon. She enjoyed styling her clients hair and spending time with her friends at work. She enjoyed shopping, flowers, potting plants, and going to the beach. Her favorite one was Saint Simons Island. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed cooking dressing and dumplings for them on every holiday. Jo was the daughter of the late Susie Strickland Howell and Willie B. Howell, and was preceded in death by her Daughter, Kaci Dunn Thompson, and her Siblings, Gene Howell, Gerald Howell, Stevie Howell, Susan Howell Chapman, Williene Carrigg, and Judy May Brown.

 She is survived by her Husband of 37 years – Terry Dunn of Eastman, GA; Daughter – Joni Dunn Hinson of Eastman; Son – David Yawn (Heather) of Eastman, GA; Grandchildren – Emily Hinson (Jesse Ussery), Kadin Thompson, and Dawson Yawn; Brothers – Mickey Howell (Flo) and Rev. Tony Howell (Jewel), both of Eastman, GA; Mother-in-law – Demple Dunn of Eastman, GA; Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law – Rex Dunn and Sherri Shipman; Several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins; Faithful Canine Companion – Chi Chi, who was her heart.

 The family may be contacted at the Dunn residence, 6328 Jim Pruett Rd., Eastman, GA, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 1:30PM-3:00PM Sunday, April 21.
