Graveside memorial services will be held at 10:00AM Saturday, April 30, at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Ron Jones officiating.
Jimmy Ray was born and raised in Eastman, of the Baptist Faith, attended Dodge County High School, and worked as a carpenter for over 40 years. He worked in construction and helped build the prison in Chester before later moving to Panama City, FL, where he lived for many years. Jimmy Ray was preceded in death by his Mother, Polly Dukes Brown.
He is survived by his Father and Step-Mother – Jimmy Lee Brown and Ethel Gay Brown of Eastman; Son – John Lowery of Dublin; 2 Granddaughters – Nichole Lowery and Anna Lowery; Sister – Amanda Gail Miller (Lisa) of Panama City, FL; Niece and Nephew – Brittany White (Mark) and Ben Sheffield (Ashley); Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews – Hunter White, Corbin White, Sophia Sheffield, Grayson Sheffield, and Kennsley Sheffield; Aunts and Uncles – John “Junior” Brown (Bertie Faye), Gene Edward Brown (Betty), Jerry F. Brown, William Derrell Brown (Sue), Walter Donald, Wanda Gay, Margie Gay, Dorothy “Dot” Rammage Gay, Daniel “Jackie” Dukes (Joyce Dobbs), and Sue Noles (Roger Mullis); Numerous Cousins.
