MR. JIMMY DAVID HEATH, JR., age 72, of Eastman, GA, died Friday, May 31, 2019 at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin.

MR. JIMMY DAVID HEATH, JR., age 72, of Eastman, GA, died Friday, May 31, 2019 at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin.

 Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Monday, June 3, in Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Mike Grenade officiating, with interment in Plainfield Baptist Church Cemetery.

 Jimmy was born in Dudley, GA, was drafted twice into the U.S. Army where he served in the 1st Airborne in Germany, and was a truck driver for RDH Trucking for over 17 years. He was a retired occupational therapist at Carl Vinson VA Medical Center for over 23 years, a retired owner and operator of Heath Painting for over 40 years, and enjoyed working, working in his yards, gardening, fishing, drinking coffee, and spending time with his family and his grandchildren. Jimmy was very strict with his children, but he was always proud of them and sought to raise them right. He was son of the late Annie Pearl McCullars Heath and James David Heath and was preceded in death by an Infant Son, William David Heath, and an Infant Sister, Kathy Diane Heath.

 Survivors: Wife of 42 years – Maggaline “Mattie” Bennett Heath of Eastman; Daughter – Tammy Heath Fulghum (Byron) of East Dublin; 3 Sons – Terry Moore (Toni), Billy Helton (Angie), Rodney Heath all of Eastman; 10 Grandchildren – Christin Price (Jason), Tiffany Farthing, Michael Macnamara (Jordan), Joey Macnamara, Will Helton, Laken Rogers (Shane), Harley Helton, Landen Jones, Layla Heath, and Chloe Wright; 10 Great-Grandchildren – Logan, Makayla, Adyson, Landyn, Dahlyla, Roman, Kyler, Tegan, Dax, and Jordy; 4 Sisters – Rachel Luecke of Dublin, Martha Ann Studstill (Marvin) of Eastman, Orine Smith, and Lisa Morrell (Leon) both of Cadwell; Brother – Wayne Heath (Sherry) of Helena; Several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

 The family may be contacted at the Heath residence, 2152 Dublin Hwy., Eastman, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 5:00PM-7:00PM Sunday, June 2.
