MR. JIMMY GERALD BARLOW, age 75, of Eastman, GA, died Saturday, March 14, 2020 at the Coliseum Medical Center in Macon.

MR. JIMMY GERALD BARLOW, age 75, of Eastman, GA, died Saturday, March 14, 2020 at the Coliseum Medical Center in Macon.

 Memorial services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, October 10, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Eddie Barlow and Mr. Chris Rogers officiating.

 Gerald was a lifelong resident of Dodge County, of the Baptist Faith, and a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Navy. During his time in the Navy he worked as a jet engine aircraft mechanic. After returning home from service he worked as a self-employed logger for several years. He was a true master mechanic and the head diesel mechanic for over 45 years for Coffee Construction, E.A. Mann Construction, and Everett Dykes Grassing. Gerald enjoyed working and was an avid fisherman who enjoyed fishing trips with his wife and sons, cooking, grilling, and gatherings with his family and friends. He was son of the late Evelyn Westbrook Barlow and John T. Barlow, Sr. and was preceded in death by a Sister, June Barlow, 3 Brothers, Alton Barlow, J.T. Barlow, Jr., and Sonnie Barlow, and an Infant Sister, Sarah Linda Barlow.

 Survivors: Wife of 51 years – Sharon Underwood Barlow of Eastman; 3 Sons – Jimmy Barlow of Eastman, Tony Barlow (Bridget) of Danville, and Jayson Barlow (Jenny) of Vicksburg, MS; 11 Grandchildren – Justin Barlow, Heather Barlow Dunlap, Jade Barlow, Michael Barlow, Jr., Amber Hanson, Tiffany Hanson, Jaycob Barlow, Cullen Barlow, Mikenlee Barlow, Brittany Turner, and Anna Turner; Several Great-Grandchildren; 5 Sisters – Janelle Payne of Eastman, Nancy Winans of Chauncey, Mae Browning (Sandy) of Cedar Grove, Gail Tomlinson (Steve) of Nashville, GA, and Joyce Barlow Griffin of Watkinsville; 2 Brothers – Zelton Barlow (Ann) and Felton Barlow (Susie) both of Eastman; 2 Sisters-in-law – Jimmie Ford Barlow and Susan Clark Barlow; Brother-in-law – Benny Underwood of Eastman; Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
