MRS. JENNY BURCH BROWN, age 71, of Chauncey, GA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at her residence.
MRS. JENNY BURCH BROWN, age 71, of Chauncey, GA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM Friday, August 28, at Chauncey City Cemetery, with Rev. Aubrey Corbitt officiating.
Jenny was born in McRae, GA on December 6, 1954, to Laura Ann Harrell Burch and the late Charles Kytle Burch. She was a member of Chauncey Baptist Church for over 60 years and was a 1972 graduate of Dodge County High School. During and after high school, she worked as a bank teller at Bank of Eastman. She later studied business at Middle Georgia College and worked for Reynolds Aluminum for over ten years. In 1985, she married Roger Brown, and they enjoyed 42 years of marriage. She was the vice president and secretary for the family business, Chauncey Farm Supply, for over 40 years, and worked as a front office administrative assistant at Dodge County High School from 1997 until her retirement in 2015. Jenny was an avid gardener and loved spending time with and taking care of her family. She was proud of her grandchildren who affectionately called her Nana.
In addition to her father, Jenny was preceded in death by a brother, Christopher Lawton Burch, and son-in-law, Campbell Vaughn.
She is survived by her Husband of 42 years – Roger Brown of Chauncey; Daughters – Brande Brown Vaughn of Eastman, Carrie Brown of Roswell, and Caitlin Brown Roberts (Jamie) of Chauncey; Son – Jaye Brown (Lesley) of Hawkinsville; Grandchildren – Camryn Vaughn, Brynlee Vaughn, Lylah Brown, Luke Brown, Lainey Brown, Kash Roberts, and Kasi Roberts; Mother – Laura Ann Harrell Burch of Chauncey; Brothers – Charles Burch, Jr. (Jan) and Harrell Burch (Donna Taylor), both of Chauncey; Sister-in-law – Elaine Shuttlesworth of Warner Robins; Nieces and Nephews – Dr. Heath Burch (Stephanie), Kyle Burch (Natalie), Laura Burch Scott (Kevin), Amanda Burch Kirkley (Tyler), Julia Burch, Judkin Browning (Greta), and Jeremy Browning; Numerous Great-Nieces and Nephews.
The family may be contacted at the Brown residence, 950 Milan-Chauncey Hwy., Chauncey, GA, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 6:00PM-8:00PM Thursday, August 27.
