MRS. JEANELL HENDRIX ENGLISH, age 71, of Eastman, GA, died Saturday, October 21, 2023, at her residence.

 Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, October 25, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Myron Parkerson officiating, with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.

 Jeanell was born in Valdosta, GA, of the Pentecostal Faith, and attended school in Valdosta, GA before moving with her family to Eastman, GA in 1981. She was a textile worker for Reaves Brothers, Inc. in Remerton, GA, Hawkinsville, GA, and Eastman, GA, for over twenty years. She was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Jeanell enjoyed traveling, gardening, watching the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturdays, trips with her family, and margaritas. Her family was her life and she enjoyed life to its fullest. She was an avid pet lover, but more than anything, she enjoyed all the times she was able to spend with her grandchildren, who affectionately called her “Mimi”. She was the daughter of the late Catheline May Hendrix and Edward Joel “Red” Hendrix, and was preceded in death by her Grandson, Nicholas Wade Driver, Sister, Linda H. Mullis, Brother, James Edward Hendrix, Step-Mother, Peggy Deloach Hendrix, and Nephew, Jamie Hendrix.

 She is survived by her Daughter – Kim Driver Peacock (Anthony) of Eastman, GA; 2 Sons – Todd Hendrix and Wade Driver, both of Eastman, GA; Grandchildren – Natalie Peacock, Allison Peacock, Noah Driver, Chandler Hendrix, and Amara Driver; 2 Sisters – Ramona Evans (Jack) and Mary Dean Hendrix, both of Eastman, GA; Brother – Clayton Hendrix of Eastman, GA; Aunts – Evelyn Joiner (Ray) of Eastman, GA and Joyce Edmond (William) of Sarasota, FL; Several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

 The family may be contacted at the residence of Kim and Anthony Peacock, 6424 Cedar Drive, Eastman, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 6:00PM-8:00PM Tuesday, October 24. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to Faithful Hearts Animal Shelter, 77 Industrial Blvd., Eastman, GA 31023.
