JANIE RENEE NASH, age 45, of Chauncey, GA, died Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center in Augusta, GA.

 A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, June 22, in Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Chuck Taylor officiating.

 Janie was born in Dublin, GA on September 19, 1979, and was of Christian faith. She attended Telfair County High School and studied at Abraham Balwin Agricultural College in Americus and later graduated with a nursing degree from Health Tech of Georgia in Warner Robins. Janie was a former phlebotomist at Wilcox State Prison where she worked for several years. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and cousin who enjoyed star gazing and had an appreciation for astronomy, arts and crafts, painting, sewing, and working on projects in her yard. She also loved trips to the beach and will be remembered for her free-spirited nature. Janie was preceded in death by her daughter, Ashley Williams, and stepmother, Laureen Helms.

 She is survived by her Son – Taylor Williams of Columbus, GA; Former Husband – Eric Williams of Columbus, GA; Mother – Elaine Colter Taylor (Johnny) of Abbeville, GA; Father – Kent Nash (Annette Williams) of Chauncey, GA; Brother – Roscoe Nash of Chauncey, GA; Sister – Christina McHugh (Gregory) of Helena, GA; Nieces and Nephews – Keylee Nash, Kelsey Nash, Kaden Nash, Destiny McHugh, and Blaze McHugh; Aunts and Uncles – Lynne Faircloth (Phillip), Carla Skipper, Lisa Whittington (David), Ray Colter (Debbie), and Latan Johnson (Jason); Great-Aunts and Uncles – Wanda Cranford (Tommy) and Charles Nash (Melanie); Numerous Cousins including – Leah Faircloth, Kristen Faircloth (Ryan McCullough), Daniel Faircloth (Amanda), Alex Faircloth (Shelby), Nash Skipper, Anna Skipper (Geries Abu Akel), Andrea Warren (Jason), and Dave Whittington (Jessica); Numerous Friends.

 The family will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 1:30PM-2:00PM Sunday, June 22.
