MRS. JAMMIE LEE CURRY GRENADE, age 73, of Glenwood, GA, formerly of Eastman, GA, died Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Memorial Healthcare in Savannah, GA.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00PM Sunday, May 18, at Woodlawn Cemetery, with Pastor Richard Wyatt officiating.
Jammie was born in Eastman on August 17, 1951, to the late Dorothy Pitts Curry and Willard Curry. She attended Dodge County High School, was a member of Greenlawn Baptist Church, and was a home health aide for many years, before volunteering at Carl Vinson VA Medical Center, where she helped take care of veterans for several years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially Louise and Gail. She loved her time as a volunteer and helping others. She was an active member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority group of friends. She enjoyed baking for her grandchildren and watching cooking shows. She was a Christian lady and enjoyed watching religious programs on TV. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a Grandson, Stephen Hunter Grenade, Brother, Paul Wayne Curry, and a Daughter-in-law, Pam Grenade.
She is survived by her Sons –Stephen Boyd Grenade (Diane) of Glenwood, GA and James W. Grenade (Tina Layman) of Hawkinsville, GA; Brother – Larry Curry (Deborah) of Griffin, GA; 5 Grandchildren – Danielle Lynn (Noel) of Byron, GA, Courtney Norris (Brandon) of Travis AFB, CA, Victoria Roberts (Justin) of Bonaire, GA, Seth Grenade (Chloe) of Glenwood, GA and Krista Paul (Dustin) of Macon, GA; 14 Great-Grandchildren – Emilie Norris, Hadalyn Norris, Elan Norris, Olivia Lynn, Tucker Yank, Nolan Yank, Karson Yank, Brynleigh Grenade, Logan Grenade, Zoey Paul, Scarlett Paul, Jackson Paul, Kevin Bagwell, and Noah Bagwell; Several Nieces and Nephews; Numerous Friends.
