MR. JAMES WILSON MULLIS, age 86, of Eastman, died Sunday, October 17, 2021, at Heart of Georgia Nursing Home.

 Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, October 20, at Woodlawn Cemetery, with Rev. Todd Crosby and Rev. Mike Grenade officiating.

 Mr. Mullis was born and raised in Chauncey, a graduate of Chauncey High School, and was a member of Eastman First Baptist Church. After high school he joined the United States Army and was stationed in Washington D.C. during his time in service. He was a retired Civil Service Employee at Robins Air Force Base where he worked for over 35 years. Wilson was a dedicated husband and a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and uncle. He enjoyed gardening and growing tomatoes was his favorite past time. He loved spending time with his family, fishing, working in his yard and being outdoors. He was the son of the late E. B. Mullis and Eva Stanley Mullis and was preceded in death by his brother, Bennett Mullis.

 Survivors include his Wife of 61 years – Linda Southerland Mullis of Eastman; Daughter – Lisa Mullis Stuckey (Brian) of Eastman; Son – Michael Mullis (Dena) of Chauncey; 3 Grandchildren – Luke Stuckey (Joli) of Forsyth, Leanna Stuckey Kanne (Timothy) of Auburn, AL, and Ella Mullis of Chauncey; 2 Great Grandchildren – Madelyn Stuckey and Charlotte Stuckey, both of Forsyth; Sister – Jane Mullis Wrye of Chauncey; Brother-in-law – Larry Southerland (Brenda) of Eastman; Several Nieces and Nephews, Great Nieces and Nephews.

 The family may be contacted at the Mullis residence 52 26th Avenue, Eastman, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 6:00PM-8:00PM Tuesday, October 19. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to Gideons International Bible Fund or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org
