MR. JAMES MARVIN REDDING, age 82, of Eastman, GA, died Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Atrium Health Navicent in Macon, GA.

 A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

 James was born in Telfair County, GA and lived with his family until he was four years old when his father passed away and was later raised with his brothers and sisters at the Baxley Children’s Home. He lived at the Children’s Home and went to school there until he was twenty-two when he moved to Eastman, GA and lived with his cousins, Velma Redding Fordham. He worked for several years as a telecommunications employee for Florida Wire and Cable. He was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching football games on T.V. He was loved by his family and friends, and he enjoyed attending family gatherings and loved spending time with his cousin and friend, Layla Heath. James was the son of the late Pearl Cannon Redding and Alton Redding and was preceded in death by his Brother, William Redding, and Sisters, Cindy Redding and Minnie “Cookie” Hickman.

 He is survived by his First Cousin – Myrtle Lou Redding Wells of Macon, GA; Several cousins including – Mattie Heath, Jane Selph, W. David Fordham, Ricky Fordham, and Brenda Fordham Walton; Numerous Friends.
