MR. JACK LAMAR BLANKENSHIP, age 80, of Eastman, GA, died Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Shamrock Nursing Home in Dublin, GA.

 Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, July 9, at New Union Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Mike Grenade officiating.

 Jack was born in Eastman, GA, and was of the Baptist faith. He was a 1963 graduate of Folkston High School and later graduated from business college in Jacksonville, FL. His parents managed Stuckey’s stores in several locations during his youth and he moved with them during those years. After graduating business school, he worked for Stuckey’s Inc. as an Auditor and enjoyed a career that lasted over 20 years before working for Wayfair, Inc. for over 7 years, also as an Auditor. He returned home to Eastman, GA in 1985 and later worked for Bearden Oil Company as a fuel truck driver for 13 years before retiring in 2009. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, brother, and uncle. Jack was an avid golfer and fisherman who enjoyed camping trips to Lake Blackshear and trips to the mountains. He and his wife loved taking trips while riding their motorcycles together. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Elmer Blankenship and Bertie Mae Southerland Blankenship.

 He is survived by his Wife of 38 years – Linda Libby Blankenship of Eastman, GA; Son – Patrick Blankenship (Connie Johnson) of Carrollton, GA; Brother – Bill Blankenship of Eastman, GA; 4 Step Children – Melinda Major (Wayne) of Moss Port, MS, Rechele Green (Mark) of Jacksonville, FL, Richie Boothe (Melissa) of Callahan, FL, and Keri Barber (Chris) of Callahan, FL; 5 Step Grandchildren – Erica Smith, Amanda Dueitt (J.M.), Bridgette Major, Bridget Moran (Zack), and Kolby Sontag; 9 Step Great-Grandchildren; 2 Nieces – Melissa Blankenship and Julie Fawn Craig (James); Nephew – William Blankenship; Several Great-Nieces and Nephews.

 The family may be contacted at the Blankenship residence, 2978 Soperton Hwy, Eastman, GA 31023. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to New Union Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 4335, Eastman, GA 31023.
