MR. JAMES WILLIAM “J. W.” ROGERS, age 84, of Dublin, GA, formerly of Eastman died, Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin.

 Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Southerland Funeral Chapel with Rev. Myron Parkerson officiating with interment in Bay Springs Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.

 Mr. Rogers was born and raised in Dodge County and was of the Baptist Faith. He was a Sales Representative for Singer Sewing Machine Company for many years and in the 1960s lived in several places in Tennessee including Alcoa, Maryville, and Knoxville. He was a Foreman at C & J Manufacturing in Eastman and a Manager at Vantage Manufacturing in Dexter and for several years J.W. worked as a mechanic at local car dealerships. He later was owner and operator of Rogers Construction Company specializing in Backhoe and Bulldozer work. He was a dedicated husband and a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Mr. Rogers was a musician who played in several Country and Gospel groups over the years. He enjoyed building things and woodworking and had built several musical instruments and liked riding motorcycles with his wife which he did for many years He was the son of the late J. O. Rogers and Myrtice Jones Rogers and is preceded in death by a sister, Avoline Rogers Smith.

 Survivors include his Wife – Annette Bowen Rogers of Dublin: Daughter – Debbie Rogers Davis (Keith) of Dublin; 3 Sons – David Rogers (Brenda) of Eastman, Randy Rogers (Cindy) of Hawkinsville and Kevin Rogers (Kevin) of Eastman; 6 Grandchildren – Haley Rogers, Lacey Smith (Micah), Scott Rogers (Courtney), Cameron Rogers (Anna) Amelia Wilder (Zach), and M’Lynn Muniz (Juan); 11 Great Grandchildren – Madelyn Rogers, Anna Rogers, Julie Rogers, Ryder Rogers, Maddox Evans, Rayna Evans, Michaela Mullis, Shelby Williams, Hunter Williams, Luke Grimes, and Landon Grimes; 2 Sisters – Brenda Lowery of Soperton and Claudine Haddock (Lee) of Eastman; Sister-In-Law – Ann Bowen of Warner Robins; Several Nieces and Nephews and a dear Friend, Guy Melvin.

 The family may be contacted at the residence of Keith and Debbie Davis, 105 Windy Hill Court, Dublin, GA 31021 and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 12:00PM – 1:00PM on Tuesday, October 26.
