MRS. ALICE IVELYN COYLE, age 89, of Eastman, GA, died Monday, February 10, 2025, at Heart of Georgia Nursing Home in Eastman, GA.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM Friday, February 14, at Bowen Cemetery, with Rev. Roy Locke officiating.
Ivelyn was born in Abbeville, GA on December 1, 1935. She was a member of New Daniel Baptist Church, a 1954 graduate of Fitzgerald High School, and later received a computer accounting specialist degree from Wiregrass Technical College in Fitzgerald, GA. She worked as a cash office associate for Wal-Mart in Fitzgerald and retired after 20 years of dedicated service. She was a loving mother and grandmother who was affectionately known as “Granny” and “Grandma” to her grandchildren. She loved listening to Elvis Presley music and attended one of his concerts in 1977. Ivelyn loved animals, especially dogs, and cared for many during her life. She was an avid collector of porcelain dolls, gravy boats, and thimbles, and enjoyed many trips to the beach at Amelia Island, FL. But most of all, she enjoyed all the time she was able to spend with her family, who she loved dearly. She was the daughter of the late Grace Howell Harrell and George Harrell and was preceded in death by her Son, Michael Lee Coyle, and Grandson, Sean Patrick Coyle.
She is survived by her Daughters – Barbara Coyle of Fitzgerald, GA and Katherine Coyle of Eastman, GA; Grandchildren – Krista Coyle, Danielle Coyle, Robert Coyle, all of Goshen, NY, and Ashley Coyle-Caton (Phillip Flanagan) of Fitzgerald, GA; First Cousin – Glenn Harrell of Eastman, GA; Several extended family members and numerous friends.
The family will receive friends at Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home from 12:30PM-1:30PM Friday, February 14. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Faithful Hearts Animal Shelter, 77 Industrial Blvd, Eastman, GA 31023.
