MRS. HYACINTH LEE DRIGGERS GILBERT, age 93, of Eastman, GA, died Monday, July 29, 2019 at Heart of Georgia Nursing Home.

 Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Thursday, August 1, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Jack Lee and Rev. Billy Baker officiating, with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.

 Mrs. Gilbert was born in Fort Eustis, VA and was a graduate of Chauncey High School and Business College in Macon. She was a member of Eastman First Baptist Church and a secretary for Stuckey’s, Inc. for over 30 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed being pampered by her family, trips to the beauty shop, and spending time with her grandchildren. Hyacinth was daughter of the late Bertha Holt Driggers and Troy J. Driggers, Sr., widow of Clyde A. Gilbert, Jr., and was preceded in death by her Daughter-in-Law, Dale Knight Gilbert, Granddaughter, DeLisa Crawford, and 4 Siblings, Mildred D. Jarrard, Troy Driggers, Jr., John H. Driggers, Sr., and Harley Driggers.

 Survivors: 2 Daughters – Gail Gilbert Branyan (Terry) of McRae and Cindy Smith (Dale) of Cadwell; Son – Al Gilbert of Eastman; 10 Grandchildren – Scott Scarborough (Tina), Clay Scarborough (Joy), Lynn Scarborough, Kristy Melton (Kyle), Dusty Yawn (Kristy), Dan Gilbert (Christie), Terry Gilbert (Amanda), Kale Dunn, Kayla Smith Green (Brandon), and Lane Smith; Grandson-in-Law – Brant Crawford; Numerous Great-Grandchildren; Several Great-Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.

 The family may be contacted at the residence of Al Gilbert, 6536 Larch Lane, Eastman, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 10:00AM-11:00AM Thursday, August 1. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 886 Mulberry Street, Macon, GA 31201.
