MR. HENRY OLIVER PITTMAN, age 62, of Eastman, GA, died Sunday, March 6, 2022, in Bleckley County Hospital.

 Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, March 8, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Chris Adams and Mr. Bobby Ryals officiating, with interment in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Rhine.

 Mr. Pittman was born and raised in Rhine, GA and was of the Baptist faith. He was a 1977 graduate of Telfair County High School. After completing high school, he worked on a farm for several years and then for Reeves Brothers Cotton Mills as a textile employee. Henry went to work at Gilman Paper Company in the 1990s and worked a 20-year career as a machine operator. He enjoyed fixing and tinkering with things. He loved John Deere tractors, animals, and traveling. He was the center of the family for his girls and loved playing games with his grandson Hunter. He loved trivia game shows and spent countless hours giving his girls advice about life. Henry was the son of the late Christine McIntyre Pittman and John Henry Pittman and was preceded in death by his sisters, Annette P. Fish and Gail Pittman and his brother, Bobby Pittman.

 He is survived by his 2 Daughters – Jennifer P. Snelgrove (Chad) and Crystal Pittman of Eastman; Grandson - Hunter Snelgrove of Eastman; 2 Sisters – Geraldine Brown and Terrie “Tiny” Pittman, both of Rhine; Brother– John Willie Pittman of Rhine; Companion – Jennifer Taylor of Cochran; Nieces and Nephews – Chris Brown, Judy Adams, Robert Pittman, Christi Foote, Misti Ruff, Kelly Gentry, Shelly Pittman, Sherry Webb; Several Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews.

 The family may be contacted at the residence of Jennifer and Chad Snelgrove 88 23rd Ave, Eastman, GA, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 10:00AM-11:00AM Tuesday, March 8.
