Obituary for Harris Marvin Jones

MR. HARRIS MARVIN JONES, age 72, of Warner Robins, GA, died Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Heart of Georgia Hospice, Perry Hospital, in Perry, GA.

 Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, July 21, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Dwaine Dunn officiating, with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.

 Harris was born in Eastman, of the Christian Faith, a graduate of Dodge County High School, and a graduate from technical school with a degree in electronics. He was a retired Civil Service employee at Robins Air Force Base working as an electronics technician with over 35 years of service. He enjoyed growing tomatoes and peppers and gardening, but his passion was researching and following politics. He was an avid Dodge County Indians Football fan who enjoyed attending their games. Harris was a dedicated son and a faithful caretaker for several of his family members over the years, whom he enjoyed spending time with. He was the son of the late Myrtice McDaniel Jones and Joseph Raymond Jones and was preceded in death by his Brothers, Jimmy Jones and Dennis Jones, Niece, Angela May, and several Aunts and Uncles.

 He is survived by his Grandson – Nathaniel Tucker of Warner Robins; Nephew – Joey R. Jones of Eastman; Niece – Tina Jones Clements (Lonnie) of Rentz; Great Niece and Nephew – Elizabeth Rykard and Brad Balderson, both of Eastman; Numerous Cousins and Extended Family.

 The family will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 10:00AM – 11:00AM before services, Wednesday, July 21, 2021.
