Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday October 30, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Mike Grenade officiating, with interment in Bethlehem cemetery.
Harold was born in McRae, a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, and a 1984 graduate of Dodge County High School. While in high school he worked at Reeves Brothers, Inc. and after graduating high school he worked with Boeing before beginning a 33 year career as a civil service employee with Robins AFB. He enjoyed tending livestock, being outdoors, and spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. Harold was preceded in death by his Father, Harold Rutherford, Sr, Maternal Grandmother, Hazel Aspinwall, and Paternal Grandparents, Gladys and John F. Rutherford.
He is survived by his Mother – Lynda A. Rutherford of Eastman; Sister – Marsha Williams of Kite; Brother – Mike Rutherford (Donna) of Fitzgerald; Nieces and Nephews – Summer McMahon (Nate), Brooke Mathis (Luke), Brandi Rutherford, and John Rutherford (Brett); Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews – Dawson Clark, Layton, McMahon, Landon McMahon, Rep Paulk, Vera Paulk, and Annistyn Grace Mathis; 2 Aunts – Ruth R. Cochran of Blackshear and Edith R. Jones of Augusta; Uncle – Joey Hobbs of Eastman; Numerous Cousins and Friends.
The family may be contacted at the Rutherford residence, 771 Coley Rogers Rd., Eastman, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 1:00PM-2:00M Saturday, October 30.
