MR. GREGG A. “PORKCHOP” SIMMONS, age 52, of Eastman, GA, died Saturday, July 13, 2019 at his residence.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00PM Thursday, July 18, at Liberty Baptist Church, with Rev. Arnold Rye officiating.
Gregg was a lifelong resident of Dodge County, a member of Liberty Baptist Church, a 1986 graduate of Dodge County High School, and a former custodian at Harvey’s for several years. He was a former employee at Goody’s Inc., Macon Iron, and worked at Lester Mills in Hawkinsville for over 17 years. Gregg loved to fish, listen to music, and enjoyed painting and drawing. He was son of the late Opaline Fordham Simmons and John F. “Duke” Simmons and was preceded in death by a Brother, Randy Simmons.
Survivors: Daughter – Shelby Simmons of Bonaire; 2 Step-Children – Cameron Bradshaw of Bonaire and Summer Bradshaw Raum (Cody) of Warner Robins; Grandson – Logan Dewayne Bradshaw; Brother – Frank Simmons (Denise Osborn) of Sandersville; Nieces and Nephew – Rebecca West, Josh Simmons, and Karla Simmons (Adam); 3 Aunts – Peggy Harrell (C.W.), Jane English (Horace), and Evelyn Joiner all of Eastman; Several Cousins and Numerous Friends.
The family may be contacted at the residence of Tonya and Joey Coleman, 1695 Airport Rd., Eastman, and will receive friends in Liberty Baptist Church from 1:30PM-2:00PM Thursday, July 18.
