MRS. GLYNDA LEE GRIMES COLLINS, age 72, of Eastman, GA, died Saturday, June 25, 2022, at the Dodge County Hospital.

MRS. GLYNDA LEE GRIMES COLLINS, age 72, of Eastman, GA, died Saturday, June 25, 2022, at the Dodge County Hospital.

 Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Tuesday, June 28, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Bishop Ralph Horne officiating, with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.

 Glynda was born in Dublin, GA, and a member of The Beacon Church of God. She was a former employee of Husqvarna for over seven years and was also a former insurance agent and sold insurance for Delta Life Insurance, United Family Life, Liberty National, and life and fire insurance for American General Life Insurance Company. From 2002 to 2005 she worked with Aubrey Stone and Bonnie Green at Cedar Lane Supper Club before going to work for Gilman Paper Company from 2005 to 2009. In 2009, she became owner and operator of Gilman’s Kitchen Services, which she operated until 2014 when she went to work for ResCare from 2014 to 2016. She later became a private sitter and enjoyed her time being able to help others. Glynda enjoyed fishing, cooking, her daily bible readings, praying, church activities, and housekeeping. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was the daughter of the late Retha Lee Soles Golden and Emory Fordham Grimes and was preceded in death by her Brother, Wallace Grimes.

 She is survived by her Husband – Riska “Ricky” Collins of Eastman; Daughter – Alicia Michele Harvey (Joey) of Jefferson, GA; 2 Sons – Richard Elmon Sapp (Donna) and Tracey Emory Sapp, both of Workmore, GA; 2 Step-Sons – Jason Collins (Kela) of Chauncey and Mackennon Collins (Jennifer) of Cary, GA; 4 Grandchildren – Bradley Sapp (Tamera), Elizabeth Sapp, Brendan Harvey, and Landon Harvey; 5 Great-Grandchildren – Reed Sapp, William Dykes, Brayden Holder, Karson Holder, and Katy Holder; Sister – Tammy Sue Butler (Rusty) of Cedar Grove, GA; Several Nieces and Nephews including, Brian Grimes, Wally Grimes (Tonya), Candice Claxton (Keith), and Carlie Dominy (Nick).

 The family may be contacted at the residence of Riska “Ricky” Collins 5827 Windsor Way, Eastman, and will receive friends in Stokes-Southerland Funeral Home from 6:00PM-8:00PM Monday, June 27. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Beacon Church of God, 830 Soperton Hwy., Eastman, GA 31023.
