MRS. GINGER KAY WILLIAMS JONES, age 65, of Eastman, GA, died Friday, March 14, 2025, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Sunday, March 16, at Plainfield Baptist Church, with Rev. Tim Tanner and Rev. Chuck Wimberly, Jr. officiating, with interment in Plainfield Baptist Church Cemetery.
Ginger was born in Dublin, GA on March 29, 1959, and was a lifelong resident of Dodge County. She was a 1977 graduate of Dodge County High School, a member of the Marchin’ Comancheros Marching Band, and was a dedicated member of Plainfield Baptist Church. Ginger worked for over thirteen years for CGL Facilities Management as an Administrative Assistant. She was a dedicated wife and a loving mother and grandmother, who enjoyed going on trips to the beach, spending time with her grandchildren, who affectionately called her “Gin Gin”, cooking, and praising and worshiping with her church family. She loved helping others and had a true servant’s heart. She will be missed dearly by her family and many friends. Ginger was the daughter of the late Esther Woodard Williams and Billy J. Williams, Sr, and was preceded in death by her Sister-in-law and Brothers-in-law, Julie Jones, Craig Lewis, and Ray Jones.
She is survived by her Husband of 35 years – Don “Buckshot” Jones of Eastman, GA; Sons – Nick Jones (Heather) of Roswell, GA and Brandon Jones (Hannah) of Perry, GA; Bonus Son – James Espinosa; Grandchildren – Grayson, Maelyn, Lillian, and 1 grandchild on the way; Sisters – Cindi Williams Lewis of Midway, GA and Katrina Mullis (Stephen) of Eastman, GA; Brother – Billy Williams, Jr. (Catherine) of Holly Springs, NC; Sisters-in-law and Brothers-in-law – Cathy Lillis (Matthew) of Wetumpka, AL, Robert Jones of Byron, GA, and Linda Wilson Jones of Rotunda West, FL; Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family may be contacted at the Jones residence, 51 Maple Drive, Eastman, GA and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 6:00PM-8:00PM Saturday, March 15. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to Plainfield Baptist Church, 271 Plainfield Rd, Eastman, GA 31023.
