GERALD DWAYNE SPIRES, age 51, of Eastman, GA, died Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Dodge County Hospital.

 Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Sunday, August 18, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Roswell Chapman officiating.

 Gerald was a native of McRae, of the Baptist Faith, a 1985 graduate of Telfair County High School, and owner and operator of S & S Construction. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, who he loved dearly, was a dedicated husband, father, and Paw Paw, and loved hunting, fishing, the river, camping, and trips to the beach. He was son of the late Joyce Burnam Spires and Wayne Gerald Spires and was preceded in death by a Sister, Angie S. Owens and Brother, Lee Spires.

 Survivors: Wife of 19 years – Monica Clements Spires of Eastman; 2 Daughters – Callie Spires of Alma and Deleia Johns of McRae; 2 Sons – Dillon Spires (Hope) of Charleston, SC and Justin Spires of Eastman; 2 Grandsons – Greyson Sheffield and Gaston Lindsey; Mother-in-Law – Elaine Walker Shepherd of Eastman; Father-in-Law – Bill Clements (Rachel) of Rochelle; Brother-in-Law – Brad Owens (Candi) of Eastman; Maternal Grandmother – Patsy Rozier of Eastman; Niece and Nephews – Kortney Owens, Jarred Owens, and Thomas “Bubby” Wilson; Aunts and Uncles – Linda Spires, Buddy Spires, Razel Spires, Linda Faye Harrell, Bonnie Giles, and Sue Jean Stonecypher; Numerous Cousins and Friends.

 The family may be contacted at the Spires residence, 358 River Rd., Eastman, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 2:00PM-3:00PM Sunday, August 18.
