MRS. ERLENE McCRANIE WILLIAMS, age 90, of Eastman, GA, died Thursday, December 31, 2020 at her residence.  

 Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, January 3, at Vilula Baptist Church Cemetery, Mr. Glenn Peacock officiating.

 Erlene was a lifelong resident of Dodge County, a 1947 graduate of Rhine High School, a graduate of Monica McRae School of Business, and a retired clerk for over 34 years for the Dodge County Health Department. She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and attended Eastman Kingdom Hall since 1957. She loved her flowers, gardening, and cooking. She was a dedicated wife and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Erlene was the daughter of the late Fannie Carrie Burnett McCranie and Senator James Horton McCranie, widow of John B. Williams, and was preceded in death by 2 Sons, John Benjamin Williams, Jr. and James Benjamin Williams, and 6 Siblings, Maggie Kimmons, Andrew McCranie, Mollie McGlohon, John K. McCranie, Carolyn Hall, and Betty Myers.

 She is survived by her 3 Daughters – Gwenda W. Peacock (Glenn), Debra Williams both of Eastman, and Lori W. Batchelor (Duncan) of McRae; Son – Eddie Williams (Emily) of Milan; 11 Grandchildren – Lawton Douglas (Mariella), Angela Peacock, Benton Douglas (Sandy), Jennifer Bellflower (Jay), Robby Peacock (Windy), Marla Beshiri (Bryan), Dianna Barton (Dusty), Ben Batchelor (Liz), Jill Mullis (Mark), Deana Long (Jared), and Mollie Reets (Matt); 24 Great-Grandchildren; Sister-in-law – Sara W. Deason of McDonough, GA; Brother-in-law – Herbert Williams of Virginia; Numerous Nieces and Nephews; Caregivers – Dorothy Wilcox, Donna Sorrell, Lillie Dupree, Ella Howard, and Dawn Jones.

 The family may be contacted at the Williams residence, 334 McCranie Lane, Eastman. Erlene will lie-in-state from 1:00PM-3:00PM Saturday, January 2, at Southerland Funeral Chapel.
