EMILY PEARL DIXON, age 22 of Cadwell, GA, died Thursday, December 9, 2021, in Savannah, GA.

 Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Wednesday, December 15, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Greg Lowery and Rev. George B. Quick officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30-1:00PM before services on Wednesday, December 15.

 Emily was born in St. Petersburg, FL and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was a 2017 honor graduate from West Laurens High School, where she was a member of the West Laurens Raiders Brigade and drama club and earned numerous awards during her time at West Laurens and was a and former member of the Girl Scouts. She recently graduated from Georgia Southern University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and was looking forward to beginning her new career. While at Georgia Southern, Emi took part in an international exchange student program and spent six weeks in Shenzhen, China. Emi had a zest for adventure and loved life, which she lived to the fullest. She had an infectious laugh and personality. She was fiercely loyal and protective of her family and friends, especially her twin brother. Emi was beautiful, bold, fearless, and a joy to be around. She was an avid animal lover and volunteered at the Laurens County Animal Shelter. She was preceded in death by her Maternal Grandparents, Dorothy R. Southby and Robert R. Martin, Paternal Grandparents, Freddie E. Dixon and Shelley P. Dixon, and an Aunt, Jill A. Dixon.

 She is survived by her Parents – Terry Dixon and Shelley Martin Dixon of Cadwell; Twin Brother – Elias “Eli” Dixon of Cadwell; Beloved Companion – Cinnamon; Aunts and Uncles – John and LaDean Emery of Cadwell, William Dixon of Brooksville, FL, and Kelley Martin of St. Petersburg, FL; Several Cousins, a Host of Extended Family Members, and Numerous Friends.

 The family may be contacted at the residence of Terry and Shelley Dixon, 1642 Long Creek Rd., Cadwell, GA 31009. In addition to flowers, the family request contributions to the Laurens County Animal Shelter, 618 Firetower Rd., Dublin, GA 31021.
