MR. ELTON “BUDDY” SPIRES, age 84, of Eastman, GA, died Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Memorial University Hospital in Savannah, GA.

 A celebration of life service for all family and friends will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, March 26, at Lovely Grove Baptist Church, with Rev. Jeffrey Wyatt and Rev. Chuck Yzenski officiating.

 Buddy was a life long resident of Dodge County, a member of Lovely Grove Baptist Church, and a hardworking and dedicated carpenter for over 35 years. He loved his family and his extended church family. He was always happiest when he was surrounded by his children and grandchildren or when he was at church. Buddy was the son of the late Mary Lou Selph Spires and Jerry Spires and was preceded in death by his loving Wife, Flossie Spires, Daughter, Sheila Mathis, and Siblings, Cecilia Spires, Vernell Johnson, Bonnie Jiles, Gerald Wayne Spires, Samuel Kenneth Spires, Ronnie Spires, Razzell Spires, and Sue Jean Stonecypher-Knowles.

 He is survived by his 2 Daughters – Debra Spires (Tony Brown) of Soperton and Karen Spires (Max Owens) of Rentz; 7 Granddaughters – Krystal Spires (Brandi Reynolds), Kelly Morris (Joseph), Katrina Williamson, Jessica Burnsed (Aaron), Nikki Wright, Becca Reid (James Culp), and Kalyn McDonald (Rigo Carrizales); 16 Great-Grandchildren – Stephanie Brown, Sophia Brown, SaNyah Spires, Cameron Morris, Leanna Morris, Snevaeh Deal, Serenity Williamson, Ali Grace Reid, Christopher Reid, Levi Culp, Colton Burnsed, Fynn Burnsed, Remi Burnsed, Axel Burnsed, Carter Carrizales, and Nolan Carrizales; Sister – Linda Harrell; Special Friend – Barbara Hood; Several Nieces and Nephews.

 The family may be contacted at the Spires residence, 1488 Reedy Branch Rd., Eastman, and will receive friends in Lovely Grove Baptist Church from 1:30PM-2:00PM Sunday, March 26.
