MRS. ELEASE “POLLY” TRIPP PRUITT, age 92, of Cochran, GA, formerly of Eastman, GA, died Friday, February 3, 2023, at Green Meadows Assisted Living in Cochran.

 Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, February 5, at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, with Dr. Donnie Sutton officiating.

 Elease was a born and raised in Dodge County, a 1947 graduate of Chester High School, and later attended business school in Eastman. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church for many years and later at Liberty Baptist Church, where she was also a member of the Sarah Sunday School. She married the love of her life in 1953 and enjoyed a wonderful marriage that lasted over 39 years until her husband’s passing in December of 1992. She worked several jobs over the years including as a nurse at the clinic in Eastman, for S.C. Cadwell at the county commissioner’s office, Saunders Stuckey and Mullis Insurance Company, and as a bookkeeper for J.L. Fountain Construction Company for many years. Elease was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandma, who loved her family dearly. She enjoyed raising her two sons, and loved cooking, sewing, camping, and traveling with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late Tynie Belflower Tripp and Ray Tripp and was preceded in death by her Husband, Lester B. Pruitt.

 She is survived by her 2 Sons – Bennie Pruitt of Eastman and Bobby Pruitt (Debra) of Cochran; 3 Granddaughters – Haley Pruitt Rogers (Mitch Lawhorn), Lacey Pruitt Smith (Micah) both of Dublin, and Allison Pruitt of Chattanooga, TN; 4 Great-Grandchildren – Anna Rogers, Madelyn Rogers, Maddox Evans, and Rayna Evans; Sister – Becky Brack (Lauren) of Allentown; Niece and Nephew – Laurie Floyd (Stephen) and Jamie Brack (Kelley), both of Macon; Several Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews.

 The family will receive friends at the graveside at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery from 1:30PM-2:00PM Sunday, February 5. In addition to flowers, the family request contributions to the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home, www.georgiachildren.org/donate, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org/donate.
