MR. EDWARD HORNE, age 82, of Eastman, GA, died Monday, August 8, 2022, at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin.

 Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, August 10, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Patrick Barnett officiating, with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, with Mr. Victor Villegas officiating.

 Ed was born in Laurens County and later moved with his family to Eastman. He was one of the founding members and a deacon of Greenlawn Baptist Church and a retired delivery agent for Eastman Drugs for over 55 years. He enjoyed helping many of the elderly in the community by doing odd jobs if they needed help. Ed was a hard-working family man who loved his family dearly, especially his wife who he had the honor and privilege of spending over 60 years with. He loved his church, gardening, and tinkering. He was the son of the late Gussie Mae Kilgore Horne and John “J.L.” Horne, Sr. and was preceded in death by 4 Siblings, Arthur “Bud” Horne, Vernon Horne, J.L. Horne, Jr., and Mildred Holder.

 He is survived by his Wife of 60 years – Geraldine Bowen Horne of Eastman; 4 Sons – Mike Horne (Brenda), Kevin Horne (Mary Ann), Alan Horne, all of Eastman, and Jeff Horne (Zenda) of Rhine; 9 Grandchildren – Nathan Horne (Helen), Zane Horne, Anna Holland (Lance), Gina Horne, Shelby Horne, Brenden Horne, Bowen Horne, Alanna Horne, and Chancy Horne; 4 Great-Grandchildren – Bentley Horne, Barrett Horne, Brigham Horne, and West Holland; Several Nieces, Nephews, and Numerous Cousins and Friends.

 The family may be contacted at the residence of Mike and Brenda Horne, 1350 Locust Lane, Eastman, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 1:00PM-2:00PM Wednesday, August 10. In addition to flowers, the family request contributions to Greenlawn Baptist Church, 1016 Soperton Hwy, Eastman, GA 31023.
