Obituary for Eddie Dancy

MR. EDDIE WAYNE DANCY, age 53, of Eastman, GA, formerly of LaGrange, GA, died Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin.

 A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

 Eddie was born in Concord, NC, raised in LaGrange, GA, and has lived in Eastman for the past three years. He was of the Baptist faith and a retired construction worker and master carpenter. He enjoyed working with his hands, listening to southern rock music, and cooking. He was a supreme jokester who enjoyed making people laugh, loved his kids and was a good counselor for them, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Eddie was the son of the late Joyce Starnes Dancy and Donnie Dancy, Sr., and was preceded in death by his Step-Father, Eugene R. Burns and 2 Sisters, Ruth Burgess and Kathy Young.

 He is survived by his Daughter – Brittney Dancy of Eastman; 2 Sons – Brian Dancy (Jennifer) of Eastman and Kevin Dancy (Kristy) of Valley, AL; 8 Grandchildren – Candler Saunders, Chloe Dancy, Kaleb King, Jakob King, Brently Dancy, Haydon Dancy, Blake Dancy, and Colin Dancy; Sister – Brenda Thompson of LaGrange; 2 Brothers – Jeffrey Dancy (Tannys) and Donnie Dancy, Jr., both of LaGrange; Several Nieces and Nephews.
