MR. DONNIE AARON PARKER, age 72, of Eastman, GA, died Sunday, January 8, 2023, at 12 Oaks Assisted Living in Dublin, GA.

 Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Scott Davidson officiating, with interment in Cottondale Baptist Church Cemetery.

 Donnie was born in Griffin, GA, in 1950. He attended Spaulding County High School and then enlisted into the U.S. Army. He married in 1971 and began his family during his years in Atlanta. The family moved to Eastman, GA, in 1979. He raised four sons and was married for 51 years to his dedicated wife Susan. He was a lifelong truck driver and worked for many years for several trucking companies including Clem Brothers Logging, who he drove for and later was a mechanic for the company. He enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycles, woodworking, kayaking, and most of all was a family man. Donnie was the son of the late Clara Mae Crawley Denton and Elbert Aaron Parker and was preceded in death by his Sister, Connie Gill, Twin Sisters, Brenda and Linda Parker, Grandparents, Grady and Frances Crawley, Mother and Father-in-law, Leree and Robert Edwards and a Brother-in-law, Daryl Glenn Edwards.

 He is survived by his Wife of 51 years – Susan Edwards Parker of Eastman; 5 Sons – Dewayne Parker (Tiffanie), Daryl Parker (Heather), Dennis Parker (Melody), Danny Parker, and Rodney Wooten all of Eastman, GA; 9 Grandchildren – Robert Parker, Jacob Parker, Gabby Parker, Khloe Parker, Sophia Parker, Symone Parker, Sadie Parker, Katie Collins, and Michael Collins; 2 Sisters – Debra Wilkes (Colon) of Hartford, AL, and Patty Harrison of Hampton, GA; 3 Brothers – Ronnie Parker of Smyrna, TN, Jerry Harrison (Alice) of Mabelton, GA, and Joseph Denton of Griffin, GA.

 The family will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 1:00PM-2:00PM, Wednesday, January 11, 2023.
