MR. TOMMY DEMPSEY PIPER, age 79, of Eastman, GA, died Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at his residence.

 Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM Friday, May 13, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Dwayne Burney and Rev. Tyler Kirkley officiating, with interment in Ocmulgee Cemetery.

 Dempsey was born in Chauncey, GA, and a graduate of Dodge County High School. He attended college before working for several years at Stuckey’s Signs and Plastics, where he traveled the United States installing, and maintaining Stuckey’s signs. He later went to work at Dodge Heating & Air as a HVAC Commercial Lead Installer where he worked for several years. In 2002, he continued his career working in maintenance for many years before retirement. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and loved racing and wrestling. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He was the son of the late Jewel Coogler Piper and Elton Piper and was preceded in death by his Wife of 58 years, Jimmie Foskey Piper and several brothers and sisters.

 He is survived by his Daughter – Wendy Noel (Phil) of Cadwell; 2 Sons – Jim Piper of Eastman and Tommy Piper of Denver, CO; 9 Grandchildren – Dusty Durden (Morgan), Rick Barnwell (Cayla), Dylan Barnwell (Chelsea), Jay Piper (Skylar), Tiffany Lockhart, Barbie Piper, Buddy Piper (Devon), Thomas Gallomore, and Brooke Thomas (Dustin); 19 Great-Grandchildren – Brooklyn Lockhart, Hunter Kirkley, Tucker Howell, Harley Jack Jones, Char-lei Jones, Zane Piper, Piper Jones, Dezzi Thomas, Holden Thomas, Kaiden Thomas, Oakley Thomas, Zadie Rose Piper, Aiden Barnwell, Kalyn Barnwell, Olivia Barnwell, Prudence Durden, Elliott Barnwell, Thomas Durden, and EllieJae Piper; Brother – Melton Piper (Margaret) of Eastman; Sister-in-law – Maudie Martin (Randy) of Eastman; Brothers-in-law – Cleve Foskey (Joan) of Guyton, Clarence Foskey (Clint Sims) of Macon, Roy Pritchett of Cochran, and Edward Brack of Thomaston, GA; Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

 The family may be contacted at the Piper residence, 108 Grace Drive, Eastman, GA, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 2:00PM-3:00PM Friday, May 13.
