Obituary for David Floyd

MR. DAVID MITCHELL FLOYD, age 69, of Eastman, GA, died Saturday, August 12, 2023, at his residence.

 A private family celebration of life service will be held at the Floyd residence at a later date, with Pastor Shawn Roberson officiating.

 David was born in Milan, GA, raised in Eastman, GA, and of the Christian Faith. He later moved to Florida before moving back to Eastman in 1992. He worked for many years as a carpenter and heavy equipment operator, and later worked for Rayonier Wood Products as a crane operator for several years. David was a simple man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was the son of the late Effie Spires Floyd and Roger Floyd and was preceded in death by his Sister, Wanda Fay Floyd and Brother, Rocky Floyd.

 He is survived by his Daughter – Cynthia F. Roberson (Shawn) of Dublin, GA; 2 Sons – David Sheffield of Eastman, GA and Bradley Floyd of Abbeville, GA; 4 Grandchildren – Emilee Roberson, Kaylee Roberson, Lily White, and Emma White; 3 Sisters – Esther Southerland (Thomas) of Acworth, GA, Betty F. White, and Virginia Owens (David), both of Eastman, GA; Numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.
