Obituary for Danny Ray Walker

DANNY RAY WALKER, age 62, of Chauncey, GA, died Monday, May 22, 2023, at Piedmont Hospital in Macon.

 A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00PM Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Southerland Funeral Chapel with Rev. Trey Benton officiating.

 Danny Ray was born in Macon and raised in Macon and later in Chauncey, GA. He attended Friendship Baptist Church in Chauncey and worked as a sawmill worker in Chauncey for many years before retiring in 1996. He later worked as a self-employed handyman and worked for many people over the years. He loved to farm and was a hard worker and provider for his family. He was a wonderful and perfect granddaddy to his grandchildren who affectionately called him PaPa. Danny Ray enjoyed fishing, hunting, taking care of his animals, and enjoyed singing “I’m A Little Teapot” to his church family and his grandchildren, who will all miss him dearly. He was the son of the late Stella Johnson and H.T. Walker, and was preceded in death by 2 Siblings, Winifred Kaser and Paul Walker.

 He is survived by his 2 Sons – Danny Walker (Katie Clance) and Will Walker (Sarah) both of Eastman; 3 Grandchildren – Colt Walker, Skylar Walker, and Dalton Walker; Sister – Paula Williams (James) of Chauncey; Brother – Arthur Walker of Edgewater, FL; Several Nieces and Nephews.

 The family may be contacted at the residence of Danny Walker, 129 East Peter Street, Cochran, GA, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 1:00PM-2:00PM Thursday, May 25 .
