MR. DANNY PAUL HOWELL, SR., age 58, of Eastman, GA, died Sunday, June 28, 2026, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, July 1, in Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Emory Howell officiating, with interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Danny was born on November 10, 1967, in Hawkinsville, GA and was of the Baptist faith. He attended Dodge County High School before going to work for Blue Bird Body Company and was a supervisor during his career with the company. He was a professional painter for over 30 years working in the family business, Howell’s Painting, alongside his father, sons, uncles and brothers through the years. He was a successful painter who was in demand and always strived to please his customers. He was a great worker and was always willing to help with all sorts of projects along the way. Danny enjoyed fishing, racing, watching movies, trips to the beach, and spending time with his family. He was a true family man and friend to many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Danny was preceded in death by his brothers, Toby Anthony Howell and Timothy Paul Howell, and a nephew, Jonathan Tripp.
He is survived by his 3 Sons – Danny Paul Howell, Jr. (Marli) of Eastman, David Andrew Howell (Felicia) of Milan, and Joshua Tony Howell of Savannah; Daughter – Amber Beck (Jason) of Eastman; 7 Grandchildren – Tucker Howell, Raelei Fletcher, Breanna Howell, Branch Howell, Gray Howell, Grayson Beck, and Ava Grace Beck; Parents – Jewel Mullis Howell and Rev. Tony Howell, both of Eastman; 2 Sisters – Debbie Howell Sheffield and Mary Ann Horne (Kevin), both of Eastman; Companion of 8 years – Joy Southerland of Eastman; Aunts and Uncles – Alice Mullis Wimpey, Terry Dunn, and Florenda Yawn Howell, all of Eastman; Several Nieces and Nephews including – Kara Howell Tatum (Brian), Gracie Sheffield, Casey Howell, Anna Rae Holland (Lance), Gina Horne, and Shelby Horne; Several Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews, and Numerous Cousins.
The family may be contacted at the residence of Marli and Danny Howell, Jr., 1110 10th Avenue, Eastman, GA 31023, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 10:00AM-11:00AM Wednesday, July 1. In addition to flowers, contributions in Danny’s memory can be made to Cornerstone Christian Academy Building Fund, 5107 Oak Street, Eastman, GA 31023.
