DANIEL GENE SHADIX, age 37, of Eastman, GA, died Friday, July 28, 2023.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, August 1, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Dr. Al Daniell officiating, with interment in Orphans Cemetery.
Daniel was born and raised in Dodge County, a member of Eastman First Christian Church, and attended Dodge County High School. He was employed at Johnson Recycling and enjoyed working on cars. He was a “big kid” at heart, was often silly, and loved a good laugh. Daniel never met a stranger and had the biggest smile. He loved deeply and cherished his family.
He is survived by his Son – D J Shadix of Eastman, GA; Daughter – Brynnlie Giddens of Cochran, GA; Father and Mother – Gene and Lavonda Davis Shadix, of Eastman, GA; Brother – Matthew Shadix (Charr Groves) of Eastman, GA; Several Aunts, Uncles, and Numerous Cousins and Friends.
The family may be contacted at the Shadix residence, 46 Peanut Road, Eastman, GA, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 10:00AM-11:00AM Tuesday, August 1. In addition to flowers, the family request contributions to Eastman First Christian Church, 5327 Ogden Street, Eastman, GA 31023.
