MR. DANA HAL BRANTLEY, age 63, of Eastman, GA, died Monday, March 14, 2022, at his residence.

 A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00PM Saturday, March 19, at Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Myron Parkerson officiating.

 Mr. Brantley was born in McRae, GA and raised in Eastman, a 1977 graduate of Dodge County High School, and a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. During high school, he worked for Piggly Wiggly, Inc. and continued to work there for several years after high school as a produce manager. He later worked for Wal-Mart for a few years before going to work at Alcoa, where he worked for over 15 years. In 2010 he went to work for Bug House Pest Control as a pest control technician. He loved his job and his customers during his time at Bug House. He was a wonderful and dedicated father, grandfather, brother, and uncle who enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren, and friends. Dana enjoyed listening to music, fishing, trips to the beach, and he had a green thumb and loved growing flowers and plants. He also had a deep love for nature and wildlife and a passion for a rescuing stray animal, especially his pet flying squirrel “Mr. Jingles”. Dana was the son of the late Mildred Harrell Brantley and Busy B. Brantley and was preceded in death by his Sister, Tina Brantley Boutwell, and 2 Brothers, Tim Brantley and Shelton Brantley.

 He is survived by his Wife – Debbie Clark Brantley of Eastman; Daughter – Chelsie Brantley of Plainfield; Son – Zach Brantley (Erica) of Eastman; 8 Grandchildren – Hunter, Kamdiyen, Noah, Izabella, Emmalynn, Asher, Gracelynn, and Rylenn; 3 Sisters – Sandra Clough (Gilbert) of Smarr, GA, Ann Rycroft (Larry) of Cochran, and Gwen Hartley (Billy) of Eastman; 2 Brothers – Sherm Brantley (Janice) and Sam Brantley, both of Eastman; Sister-in-law – Pam G. Brantley of Eastman; Brother-in-law – Bob Boutwell of Eastman; Aunt – Mary Smith of Rockmart, GA; Numerous Nieces, Nephews, Great-Nieces, and Great-Nephews.

 The family may be contacted at the residence of Bailey Hart, 1673 WPA Rd. Eastman, and will receive friends in Southerland Funeral Chapel from 2:00PM-3:00PM Saturday, March 19. In addition to flowers, contributions can be made to help with his final expenses by contacting Bailey at 478-231-8023.
